7 Steps To Observe Your Mind.

Since our youngest age, we are taught to think, or to use our brain in a very logical way. We have to memorize, write, or prepare speeches. We are also taught that to be healthy we have to eat fruits and veggies and exercise regularly but nobody explained to me at least that we should also observe our minds to balance our body and mind.

Thinking is amazing but it should not be the only part of our brain that we use. We should be able to think when we decide without this constant flow of thoughts in our head that usually end up being negative or destructive.

Learning to observe and control your flow of thoughts is nothing else than meditation. Many people get scared when we talk about calming down the thought process. I regularly hear: “If I do not think, then I will think of not thinking.” This may certainly happen at first, but as we learn to control our mind, magical things start happening.

To give you examples, if you meditate everyday for a couple weeks, you will quickly notice that you are more at peace with yourself, your skin will clear up, you will loose those extra pounds, feel more confident in your body and overall, your immune system is reinforced, therefore you can forget about that flue shot, you will not get sick.

This seams like the magical remedy. The question is why aren’t we doing everyday?

A lot of people are afraid of taking that first step because as we said, they do not know how to. It is easy to give meditations advice from the top of a mountain in India. There is not much else to do than meditating, but with our busy lives it almost seems impossible.

The truth is, it is a question of a couple minutes. No need to meditated for two hours every day. Start slow. Follow your intuitions and rhythm.

Here are 7 simple steps to observing your mind:

  1. Sit in a quiet environment

Go crazy guys, turn off your phone ! Do not worry the world is not going to explode If your phone is off for ten minutes.

  1. Spray yourself with the chakra spray of your choice.

  1. Close your eyes.

  1. Observe the flow of thoughts.

As you feel more relaxed after a couple breaths, focus on your thoughts. Observe what is happening in your head: the pattern and frequency of your thoughts.

  1. Visualize your thoughts falling onto the Earth under the form of dust.

Among the various properties of our beautiful Mother Earth, she has the ability to transform negative into positive. Visualizing your thoughts falling out onto the Earth will make it an amusing exercise and help you let go of the surplus of thoughts.

  1. Notice that all your thoughts vanished.

And, if they did not breathe and restart the process …

When I drive myself thru those steps, slowly I get to a point of stillness where magic happens …
